NCI Mentored Clinical Scientist Research Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K08 Clinical Trial Required)

The purpose of the NCI Mentored Clinical Scientist Career Development Award (K08) program is to prepare individuals for careers that have a significant impact on the health-related research needs of the nation. This program represents the continuation of a long-standing NIH program that provides support and protected time to individuals with a clinical doctoral degree for an intensive, supervised research career development experience in the fields of biomedical and behavioral research, including translational research.

NCI Mentored Research Scientist Development Award to Promote Diversity (K01 -Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The purpose of the NCI Mentored Research Scientist Development Award (K01) is to enhance the diversity of the pool of the NCI-funded cancer research workforce by supporting eligible individuals from groups that have been shown to be nationally underrepresented in the biomedical, behavioral, social and clinical sciences. This FOA provides salary and research support for a sustained period of "protected time" for intensive research career development under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

The purpose of the NCI Mentored Research Scientist Development Award (K01) is to enhance the diversity of the pool of the NCI-funded cancer research workforce by supporting eligible individuals from groups that have been shown to be nationally underrepresented in the biomedical, behavioral, social and clinical sciences. NCI Transition Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K22 No Independent Clinical Trials)

The purpose of the NCI Transition Career Development Award to Promote Diversity is to assist postdoctoral fellows or individuals in equivalent positions to transition to positions of assistant professor or equivalent and initiate a successful biomedical career as an independent research scientist.
