
Tsega Abebe serves as UMGCCC’s Assistant Coordinator of Outreach and Engagement, working through the CHAMP lab. Within the office, she promotes cancer screening and prevention by leading Cancer Health Ambassador training, participating in health fairs throughout the state, and communicating cancer news and updates through our community newsletters. She is passionate about bridging gaps in trust and understanding between healthcare workers and community members by promoting health literacy and encouraging informed health decisions, especially in critical care and emergency settings.

Kaisha Snowden is a program assistant for the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center's Office of Community Outreach and Engagement. She is currently pursuing her B.A. in Dance and B.S. in Public Health Practice at the University of Maryland, College Park. Kaisha is extremely passionate about working with minority communities and contributing to the advancement of their knowledge and the sustainment of their health. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Kaisha plans to pursue a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in Biostatistics to delve deeper into the field of research.

Asli McCullers, MPH is a current PhD student in the Behavioral and Community Health Department at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a Graduate Research Assistant supporting the CHAMP Lab (including the CHAMP Ambassadors program) and community engagement for the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. Through an integrated health equity lens, her research interests are at the nexus of reproductive and maternal health, adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer education and survivorship, and digital wellness. Additionally, Asli is a Research Specialist at the MedStar Health Center for Health Equity Research. Previously, she received her MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Delaware, her post-baccalaureate from University of Massachusetts Medical School in Clinical and Population Health, and her BS in Biology and Music Performance from Towson University.
