At the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC), the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) is dedicated to reducing the cancer burden in our Maryland catchment area. Our efforts are guided by a commitment to health equity, community partnership, and research integration.
We serve a diverse catchment area of 5.4 million Marylanders living in a 10-county region of Maryland that spans the Baltimore–Washington, D.C. corridor. Our goal is to align cutting-edge cancer research with the cancer priorities and voices of the community. Through targeted education, outreach initiatives, and data-driven programming, we aim to make an impact across the cancer continuum—from prevention and early detection to survivorship and care.
