Mentees and mentors enter a matching process considering mentee preferences in indicated research areas, mentor availability and interest in the mentee, and training potential of the applicant in that area.
5. Can I still participate if I don't want to work with animals?
Yes, there are mentors who do not use animals for their studies.
6. When will we get paid?
Typically, a lump sum payment by late June
7. Can I still get into the program if I had a bad semester in school?
Yes, students are evaluated based on many factors.
8. Do I have to have prior research experience?
No.
9. I don't have a car; how will I get to and from Loyola for the lab techniques tutorial?
Multiple options exist to ensure transportation.
10. Is there discount parking for interns?
Interns will be eligible for student parking rates of $7/day.
